Cliffhanger
The release of our new album titled “Cliffhanger” on May 12, 2025 marks a turning point for Streetside’s content and a look into the deepest dive into our style. This album is a patchwork quilt of songs whose recordings span the length of four years in total and a few of the songs I began writing close to 15 years ago. Many of the songs included in this album were originally meant to be on other albums, or started as small instrumental pieces that were never intended to be full fledged songs. However, this collection took shape slowly with the “Well maybe I should add that song too” mentality until Cliffhanger was born. Consequently, somehow all of the songs seem to play really nicely together, and lyrically tell a story of individual struggle and reflection. The lyrics throughout the album are intertwined, and support the narrative of a soul trudging through life’s mire with only a small light for direction. These songs were painstakingly written both lyrically and musically and require a matured musical taste and an introspective mindset. This is essentially the “fine wine” album of Streetside Philosophy.
I am very excited to bring everyone a fresh perspective and another chapter of Streetside Philosophy with my usual stylistic take on the Indie / Alternative genre. Musically, this is a very grungy / LOFI / synth and guitar heavy album. The music fits the vibe of the lyrics, but more importantly dives into one of my favorite sides of writing. However, there are a few songs that reflect the organic essence of the album “Fools Gold” with its acoustic roots. For instance, the song “Avocado” on Cliffhanger was actually written and recorded alongside the song “Almost Home” on our first album. I can’t forget to mention the important guest appearance of an owl that I recorded in the middle of the night who became a drum solo at the beginning of the song “Oil” accompanied by my good ol’ mountain dulcimer.
Much of what makes writing / producing music enjoyable is to share the journey with everyone. I hope this album gives everyone a chance to rock out / reflect / and immerse themselves in the music and get to know Streetside Philosophy even better. There will be many more updates soon regarding future content for all of my projects in the months to come!

Changes
Over the past handful of years I have been busy wrtiting and producing the album Fools Gold along with a large amount of other content set to release in the near future. The 8 songs that made up the first album were tailored to be the start of the Streetside journey. I felt like the first 8 songs really built a foundation for everything else we had to showcase. After I officially finished recording all of the instrumentation and vocals for Fools (which was a long process) I began attacking the production of 17 new songs. All 17 songs were planned to be in the second and third installments of Streetside. Originally the song Eyes was planned to be in the second album of Streetside, but was moved to Fools eventually. However, stylistically Eyes does represent a good sneak peak of the gritty, warbled and warped sounds of our upcoming content. The darker tone set in the upcoming content pulls the world of Streetside to places that were not explored by Fools lyrically. There is a much more individualized feeling to the upcoming content as opposed to Fools which was much more universal. There is also a tone of progression set by all upcoming content that should be evident in the artwork that will be continually evolving in our world. As we slowly prepare for the stages before release of our 13 song album I hope that everyone will get a chance to enjoy our new website and connect on social media for updates.
